Hi, I’m Katie
I was born and raised in western Washington and have now lived in Utah for three years with my husband and three little ones - our last one on the way in October 2026! I have had a background in therapeutic work for the last 10 years. My degree is in Kinesiology from Western Washington University. This is where I fell in love with the science of movement, rehabilitation, and manual therapy. My family and I love to ski and mountain bike. We have a deep love for the mountains here in Utah and find ourselves up at Snowbasin often.
Over the course of my career I have worked in various forms of outpatient physical therapy settings. I am dual licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant and Licensed Massage Therapist in Washington and Utah which has allowed me to continue working in Redmond, WA at Innova Physical Therapy.
My journey into massage therapy started in 2021 where I began to integrate my training and skills in physical therapy and catered it to include a more intentional focus into body work. My extensive mentorship and training in evaluating and treating the ribcage has benefited my patients in a multitude of ways and continues to be one of my main areas of treatment.
I also found my love for prenatal work after having my first son and found there was such a need for focused -therapeutic work for the prenatal population. I believe expectant mothers deserve to be given care that addresses their individual needs while providing them with a caring and relaxing space.
My Approach
I believe effective massage therapy goes beyond relaxation - it’s about understanding how your body moves, where it compensates, and what it needs to function at its best. My work is rooted in therapeutic, results-focused care designed to reduce pain, improve mobility, and support long-term wellness.
Inspired and extensively mentored and trained by the work of LJ Lee through Connect Therapy, I look at the ribcage as a central hub for how load travels through the body. When ribs and their associated parts are restricted or moving out of sync, compensations develop up and down the body and that’s often where the pain is experienced. Rather than chasing symptoms, I find where the breakdown is actually happening and treat from there.
Every session is tailored to your goals, whether you’re managing chronic tension, recovering from activity, navigating pregnancy, or simply wanting to move and feel better in your daily life.
